Hemis Festival and Leh Tour, a package of 5 nights and 6 days, offers you a chance to enjoy the festivities. This two-festival is organized on the 10th day of the Tibetan lunar month at the Hemis monastery, India's largest and richest monastery. Day 01

Delhi

Once you arrive at Delhi International airport, meet an Bharatatva representative who will help you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and join the briefing session where you get important tour details. Spend the day at leisure, indulge in the activities of your interest- explore the popular monuments, visit the well-known markets, gorge on street food etc. Overnight stay.

Day 02

Leh

On day 2, get an early morning transfer to the airport to board a flight for Leh. On arrival, get transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and enjoy refreshments. Post lunch, indulge in sightseeing. Cover the ruins of Leh Palace, Hall of Fame, and Shanti Stupa ? a white-domed Buddhist Chorten popular for religious importance and for a fantastic view of the surroundings that it offers. In the evening, enjoy a leisure walk in the market. Stay overnight.

Day 03:

Leh - Hemis Festival and Excursion to monasteries

After breakfast, visit the Hemis Monastery to enjoy the festivities. This most prominent and wealthiest monastery in India, which hosts the famous Hemis Festival every year. Enjoy the Chaam, a sacred masked dance performed by the Lamas, along with musical drums and longhorns. You can also shop for souvenirs from the temporary market stalls. Later, visit the Shey Gompa and Thiksey Gompa, which is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery belonging to the (Gelugpa) sect. It has an architecture similar to Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 04

Leh Excursion to Pangong Lake (320 km)

On day 4 of the tour, have breakfast and proceed to Pangong lake (4,350 meters) via Chang La (5360 meters), the world?s third-highest motorable road. Carry packed lunch. Reach Pangong in the afternoon. Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake, the highest in the world, located in India and Tibet. Admire the beautiful surrounding views of the snow-capped mountains. Then, return to Leh for an overnight stay.

Day 05:

Excursion to Khardungla top (5359 meters)

On the 5th day of the tour, post breakfast, begin driving towards Khardung La Pass (5359 meters), famed as the highest motorable road, around 39 km from the main town of Leh. Once you reach the top, treat your eyes to the surrounding local scenery. Back to Leh for lunch. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. In the evening, visit the market. Stay overnight.

Day 06:

Delhi- Departure

Get an on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight back to Delhi to board a flight for your onward destination.

Advanced Preparation

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
Though Bharatatva provides all three meals, that is breakfast, dinner and Bharatatva treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.

30% Cancellation for any land package bookings 15 Days before departure.
100% Cancellation for any land package bookings 7 Days before departure.
