Tribal Trail, a voyage of 17 Nights and 18 Days, is ideally designed to provide a deep know-how about the tribal life of Orissa. All the way from Bhubaneswar, Dangmal, Baliguda, Rayagada, Jeypore, Gopalpur, and Puri, you visit the local tribes and witness their day to day activities apart from enjoying their folk dance. Day 01:

Bhubaneswar

Get welcomed by our representative on your arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station. Thereafter, get transferred to your hotel, check in, freshen up and take a little rest. Remaining hours of the day are free to be spent at leisure in the city of temples. You may utilize the time in taking gradual walks to the nearby temples and communicating with the locals. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02:

Bhubaneswar - Chandbali - Dangmal

In the morning, get ready to visit Chandbali (Chandabali) by boat. Here, you may have fun with water. You may also spot crocodiles, as this place is famous for the same. Thereafter, proceed to Dangmal. Here, check in at Dangmal Forest Rest House, freshen up and take a little rest. You may take a gradual walk to the nearby area during the remaining hours of the day. Dinner and an overnight stay at the rest house.

Day 03:

Dangmal

Early morning, after breakfast, get ready to enjoy the boat ride on small creeks. Here, you may spot crocodiles lying motionless, relaxing in the sun. Thereafter, enjoy your lunch and then get ready to take pleasure in a nature walk on mangrove forest and spot varieties of birds chirruping and performing their natural activities. Later, return to your Rest House for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04:

Dangmal - Chandbali - Bhubaneswar

After breakfast, leave for Chandbali by boat. Thereafter, return to Bhubaneswar. Reach your hotel, check in, freshen up and relax. You may prefer to spend the remaining day relaxing at the hotel or take leisure walks down the streets. You may communicate with the locals or enjoy scrumptious street food. Thereafter, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05:

Bhubaneswar

This day is to be spent at leisure in Bhubaneswar. Visit popular temples like Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Lingaraja Temple, Mahavira Jain Temple, etc. Thereafter, also enjoy excursion to Khandagiri Udayagiri Caves. Also visit Tribal Research Institute Museum to take pleasure in exploring the real tribal dwellings, made by the tribal craftsmen. Here you may enjoy the panoramic view of tribal villages of Orissa. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06:

Bhubaneswar - Baliguda

Early in the morning, leave for Baliguda. En route visit Desia Kondh village and weaver's village. Baliguda is the considered as the main entrance point to the Orissa?s tribal highland. Here, you may take pleasure in viewing the picturesque mountains. The Sal forests covering the mountains again offer an enthralling view. Here, you may explore the tribal life of Orissa. Reach your hotel at Baliguda, check in, have your dinner, and halt for an overnight stay.

Day 07:

Baliguda

In the morning, after breakfast, get ready for an excursion to Barakhoma. Here, you may spot females of the village with tattooed faces. Make yourself a part of a typical Orissa tribal village here and enjoy random activities. You may also witness various traditions, cultures and day to day activities of the tribal people. Enjoy the warmth of hospitality extended by the locals. Later, return to your hotel, take a little rest. If time permits, you may enjoy gradual walks to the nearby streets. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08:

Baliguda - Rayagada

After breakfast, in the morning, visit Rayagada through villages of Belghar hill and Kutia Kondh. Rayagada is between Koraput and Berhampur. Thus, Rayagada serves as the halting destination to visit to nearby attractions. At Kutia Kondh, you may spot the tribal life more closely. Thereafter proceed towards your hotel in Rayagada, check in and halt for an overnight stay.

Day 09:

Rayagada - Jeypore

In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Dongria Kondh market. Explore the earthy colors of the market. Here you may buy unique handicrafts that exhibit the tribal essence. Thereafter, proceed for Jeypore tour. Reach your hotel, check in, and take a little rest. If time permits, you may use the remaining time taking gradual walks down the streets. An overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 10:

Jeypore

This day is dedicated to explore the tribal markets at Onukudelli. In the morning, after breakfast, visit the interesting markets of Gadaba, Didayee and Bonda. Here you may buy the handicrafts that exhibit the essence of the local tribes. Thereafter, you may use the remaining day in exploring Jeypore, famous for waterfalls, wildlife, etc. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11:

Jeypore

Use this day for an excursion in Jeypore. After breakfast in the morning, visit Gupteswar in the Dharua Gond tribal village. Gupteswar, meaning 'hidden God', is a shrine devoted to Lord Shiva. This cave shrine is nestled on the apex of a limestone hill. Thereafter, you may also explore various adjacent caves. Thereafter, return to your hotel. If time permits, you may take leisure walks to the nearby streets. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12:

Jeypore

In the morning, after breakfast, get ready to visit Machkund and Borogadaba. These two are popular tribal villages of Orissa. Here, enjoy the hospitality extended by the locals, and be a part of their day to day activities. You may also take pleasure in viewing famous tribal dance, performed by local performers. Thereafter, visit Gadaba market at Lamtaput and you may buy handicrafts as souvenirs. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 13:

Jeypore - Rayagada

Visit Rayagada in the morning, en route, visit tribal museum, Jagannath Temple and Paroja tribal village. Jagannath Temple, also popular as Sabarasrikhetra and is dedicated to the Lord Jagannath. Thereafter, proceed to Raygada Tribal Museum and witness unique tribal items.� Later, also visit Paroja village and communicate with the locals. Reach your hotel at Rayagada, check in and halt for an overnight stay.

Day 14:

Rayagada - Gopalpur

In the morning, after breakfast, get ready to visit Gopalpur on the way to Soura tribal village. At Gopalpur, visit the beautiful beach and spend time with nature. Thereafter, you may return back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Or, you may use the remaining hours of the day exploring the nearby streets and communicating with the locals.

Day 15:

Gopalpur - Puri

In the morning, proceed towards Puri and on the way, visit Chilika Lake. This largest lake in the subcontinent is shallow and contains brackish-water. After taking pleasure in the serenity of the place, head towards your hotel. Reach your hotel, check in, and take a little rest. If time permits, you may use the remaining hours exploring the nearby markets. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 16:

Puri

This day is to be spent visiting attraction in Puri. Visit the Sun Temple, a mammoth chariot structured temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the best examples of rich art and architecture of Orissa. Thereafter, visit the Jagannath temple, devoted to Lord Jagannath. This 12th century A.D. temple was built by Raja Ananta Varman Chodaganga Dev. Wooden images of Subhadra and Jagannath Balabhadra were established in the temple. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 17:

Puri

Early morning, after breakfast, get ready to spend the day at the beautiful Puri beach. Located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal, you may take pleasure of viewing the picturesque beach. You may also enjoy various water sports and take leisure walks on the sand. Later in the evening, you may also witness the magnificent view of dusk. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 18:

Puri - Bhubaneswar

In the morning, after breakfast, get assisted and transferred to the Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station to board the flight/train towards the onward journey.

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
