Day 06:

Mawlynnong to Dawki ( 42 km / 3?4 hrs).

After a delicious breakfast, wave goodbye to the homestay and head towards Dawki. En route, relish the beautiful views around you. Once arrived at the camping site set along the banks of the Umngot river, relax for some time. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire at the campsite before dozing off.

Day 07:

Dawki to Shillong (81 km / 2.5 hours (By vehicle)

On day 7 on your Meghalaya cycling package, savor breakfast and check out. Today, you will get transferred from Dawki to Shillong by vehicle. Once reached, check-in at the hotel/ guest house and enjoy a sound sleep.

Day 08:

Shillong to Guwahati (100 km / 5-6 hrs)

On day 8 of our Meghalaya cycling tour package, you will proceed towards the last destination, Guwahati. On the way down to Guwahati, admire the breathtaking landscapes. Upon reaching, check-in the hotel/ guest house and retire for the day. Spend a comfortable overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 09:

Guwahati: The Cycling Tour Concludes

Wave goodbye to the largest metropolis in northeastern India, and get transferred to the airport/ railway station for your onward journey with pleasant memories of this Meghalaya cycling tour from Guwahati.

Day 01:

Arrival in Guwahati

On arrival in Guwahati, you will be welcomed by our tour representative, who will escort you to your hotel/ guest house. On the way, enjoy the views of this sprawling city situated beside the banks of the Brahmaputra River. Once arrived, complete the check-in formalities and relax. After freshening up, there will be a short briefing session about the cycling tour, and cycles will be assembled for the tour.

Day 02:

Guwahati - Nohsngithiang - Umbir ( 86 km/ 8-9 hrs)

Arise to a beautiful view and enjoy a cup of morning tea. Your Meghalaya cycling tour will officially begin today. Today, the maximum ride will be uphill with a few short downhill stretches. Enjoy the views of waterfalls in between and continue riding to Jiva Resort, Nongpoh (nearly 40 km from the starting point). In the evening, enjoy a bonfire at the campsite. Spend a comfortable night in Umbir.

Day 03:

Umbir to Cherrapunji ( 74 km / 7-8 hrs)

Wake up and enjoy morning tea. Check out and proceed towards your next destination, Cherrapunji. Known for its living root bridges and waterfalls, Cherrapunji is a beautiful place to visit in Meghalaya. Start cycling towards Cherrapunji and enjoy the beauty all around. On arrival, check-in the homestay/guest house and retire for the day. Enjoy a comfortable overnight sleep.

Day 04:

Cherrapunji: Visit the Famous Living Root Bridges

Start day 4 of the cycling tour in Meghalaya from Guwahati with a hearty breakfast. Start your journey from Tyrna Village to the Double Decker Root Bridge by trek. It is a 3000 steps climb to reach the root bridge but is totally worth it. Enjoy the surroundings and spend some time here and view the famous living root bridges. Later, return to the homestay/ guest house in Cherrapunji to enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 05:

Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong. 81 km (6 ? 7 hrs)

Arise to a wholesome meal, check out, and proceed to your next destination, Mawlynnong. It is also called ?God?s Own Garden? and has been awarded the title of the ?cleanest village in Asia? by Discover India in 2003. Once reached, check in to a homestay in a village and slip under the blankets for a comfortable sleep.

Advanced Preparation

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
